Hi Syafiqah,

            How are you things? I am very glad to read your last letter telling me that you spent your holiday in Spain. Now i would like to tell you about my holiday, too.

It was an exciting holiday, I spent the holiday with my family. We went to Huatulco, Iceland and New York. We chose those places since the climate and the tourist spots are very much different from others.

            In Huatulco, the climate is very hot because it is on pacific coast. Completely different with Huatulco, Iceland has cold climate. There are many lands covered with ice. While in New York, the climate is between the other two.

            For tourist objects, Huatulco and Iceland have fewer interesting places to attract tourists compared to New York. We saw many beautiful places, like volcanoes, geysers, etc. While in New York, there are many amazing skyscrapers.

            I hope we can visit them together on our next holiday.

How to Eat Papeda

Do you know papeda is? It’s a special food from Papua. Papeda is made from sago flour. It is as white as milk and its texture is like glue. It’s quite sticky. That’s why, we need to roll the papeda on the forks, to put on a plate. However, we must first pour vegetable soup on the plate, before we put the papeda on top, otherwise it will stick to the plate.

Then, we need to add more vegetable soup to the papeda. For a more delicious taste, use fish cork soup. Yummy, yummy!

                                                              DISNEY WORLD RESORT

           Disney World Resort is one of the most visited and the largest recreational resorts in the word. It has four different theme parks ; The Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

           The Magic Kingdom Theme park is the park first built in the resort. This theme park is represented by Cinderella’s castle. It has fourty-eight attractions in seven themed lands.

            Unlike the Magic Kingdom, Epcot contains tunnels underneath the buildings. The tunnels are used primarily for the support facilities necessary for merchandise shops and restaurants. Spaceship Earth is the icon of Epcot. At Epcot, guests can visit Future World that offers  innovative aspects and applications of technology. Guest can also visit pavilions representing eleven countries such as China, United Kingdom, France, Morocco, Japan, and Italy in World showcase.

            The other two theme parks at Disney World Resort are Disney-MGM Studios, and Disney’s animal Kingdom. At Disney-MGM Studios, guests can enjoy rides  and shows based on Hollywood movies. At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, guests can take a safari ride to see elephants, giraffes, hippos, rhinos, lions. There are also two Disney water parks; Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Both parks have water slides and other water adventures.

             One day, a boy got up with the feeling that the day was going to be unlucky day for him. He found that it was already 6.50 a.m he rushed into the bathroom. In a hurry, he didn’t see a piece of soap lying on the floor, he stepped on it and slipped.

            Then, he went to the dining room for his breakfast. He gulped down the tea without realizing that it was very hot, so it burnt his tongue. He got dressed and rushed to the bus stop. Unfortunately, he just missed the bus. His heart sank and new that he would be late for school and his teacher would be angry with him again.

Ant and Dove

     An ant went to the river to get a drink. The water rushed so fast that he washed off from  the bank into the river.”I shall drown” he cried. “Help! Help!”, but his voice was so tiny that it couldn’t be heard.

     A dove was sitting on the tree hanging over the water. She saw the ant struggling and quickly nipped off a leaf and left it fall into the water. The ant climbed upon it and floated down the river until the leaf was washed upon the bank of the river.

     The ant called out in tiny voice.” Thank you, kind dove, you have saved my life”, but of course the dove couldn’t hear him.

     Several days afterward, the dove was again sitting on the tree, a hunter crept carefully up to the tree. His gun pointed at the dove and he was about to shoot, when he was bitten in the leg by an ant.

     He cried out with pain and dropped his gun. This frightened the dove, and she flew away. “thank you, kind ant” cooed the dove. The ant heard it and happy that he could help her.
